Mr. Mahmoud H. Nassir-Deen (CHAIRMAN)

  • Background in Health Services Management, Organisation Change ManagememEnt and I.T Project Management consulting services (in both public and private spaces).
  • Among other qualifications, he holds a degree in Health Services Management, an MSc. in Information Technology and is currently a Doctoral Candidate.
  • Has a combined experience of about thirty (30) years in the public and private sectors, including years of clinical work and managerial roles in the U.K National Health Service (NHS).
  • A businessman, with local and international business interests.
  • Until the last few years, lived and worked in the UK, where he owned and managed a consulting firm.
  • Immediate past Board Chairman of TTH, and also currently a Commissioner at the Forestry Commission of Ghana.

Dr. Kareem Mumuni – CEO TTH (MEMBER)

  • Senior Lecturer, UG Medical School and Ag. CEO of TTH – January 2020
  • Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and sub-specialised in Reproductive Health & Family Planning (RHFP), Urogynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology.
  • Member of UDS Council and chairman of the Advisory Board – UDS-SMS and Secretary to the Faculty of OBGY, GCPS (2017-2020)
  • Board Member, Faculty of OBGY, West Africa College of Surgeons (WACS)
  • Examiner, postgraduate colleges of GCPS and WACS & external examiner to the Faculty of OBGY of the School of Medical Sciences of the University of Gambia.
  • Member of the International Urogynaecology Association (IUGA) as well as a member of the International Healthcare Volunteers (IHCU).

Mad. Miriam Coffie (MEMBER)

  • Principal Midwifery Officer with the Madina Polyclinic, with over 20 years’ experience in Nursing and Midwifery
  • First Midwife to introduce Pregnancy school for pregnant women in the La-Nkwantanang District
  • Began career as a Community Health Nurse in the 90’s at Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital and rose through the ranks to become a Midwife.
  • Also worked with the Pentecost Hospital – Madina and Madina Polyclinic – Kekele as a Midwife.
  • Loves supporting women as they experience the journey into motherhood and beyond.
  • Passionate about supporting midwives to ensure maternal and neonatal safety. 

Mad. Gifty Mary Wuffele (MEMBER)

  • A registered general nurse (RN) and a registered midwife (RM)
  • Lecturer and Ag. Head of Department of Midwifery and Women’s Health, School of Nursing & Midwifery – UDS, Tamale Campus.
  • Served as Clinical Skills Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer at the Department of Midwifery, School of Allied Health Sciences – UDS
  • Previously worked as a general nurse/midwife at the Wa Regional and Tamale Central Hospitals.
  • Member of the Theta Tau International Honour Society of Nursing
  • Fellow of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives

Dr. Leticia Adelaide Appiah (MEMBER)

  • Executive Director – Ghana National Population Council
  • Served with GHS for over two decades and 1st Municipal Director of Health Service of the Ledzokuku Krowor Municpality (2008-2016)
  • Member of the structural analysis team for ECOWAS vision 2050 and Consultant in demography to the UN
  • Member of Ghana’s Covid-19 Taskforce and Member of the 2021 Census National Steering Committee
  • Board member of Partners in Population Development, Ghana Aids Commission etc..
  • A Humphrey fellow and Vice President of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Alumni (Ghana Charter)

Prof. Gideon Helegbe (MEMBER)

  • An Associate Professor of medical biochemistry

  • Head of Department – Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, UDS
  • An accomplished academician with over 20 years of teaching & research
  • Author of two books and several other publications
  • Chaired and served as member of several boards/committees and serves as an external examinaer to sister universities in and outside Ghana
  • Currrent Chairman of the TTH Ethical Review Board
  • A vibrant sportsman who loves reading and sight-seeing

Mr. Mattew Kyeremeh (MEMBER)

  • Gov’t appointee to the Dormaa East District Assembly, Chair of the Development Planning Committee

  • Elected Council Member of Croydon (London, UK) with full time responsibility in the Cabinet, Chaired various Croydon  & London (2006-2008, 2016-2017)

Dr. Ahmed Abdallah Mashud (MEMBER)

Dr. Divine Banyubala (MEMBER)

  • Ag. Registrar, Medical & Dental Council; a physician and a legal practitioner. Holds a Masters and PhD degrees in Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence –  University of Manchester, UK
  • Founded Ghana’s first medico-legal department at the MoH ; institutionalised ethics and law into health care practice and policy.
