The Physician Specialist Clinic has organized a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session focused on neurology, with a particular emphasis on stroke management and nursing care. The training was led by Dr. (Med) Valentine Akwulpwa, a Neurologist.
The objective of the session was to enhance the capacity of nurses in the contemporary management of Cerebrovascular Accidents (CVA), commonly known as stroke. The interactive session covered key aspects of stroke, early recognition, and evidence-based nursing interventions.
Participants expressed appreciation for the timely and practical insights, noting that the training would improve patient outcomes and promote multidisciplinary collaboration in stroke care.
The CPD is part of ongoing efforts by the Clinic to strengthen clinical knowledge and promote best practices in patient management.
